Level 2 - Correction

The Stage 2 detail is the perfect package for those looking to chase perfection.

This multi–stage paint correction is similar to stage one, but with a lot more time dedicated to the machine polishing side of things. Instead of a single stage machine polish, the paintwork is treated to a far more intensive process.

A multi-stage correction process allows swirls, scratches, bird lime etches, sanding marks and other paintwork defects to be safely removed.

This method is slighlty more aggressive than stage 1, with the use of a cutting compound to work out most of the paint imperfections

You'll have to dig a little deeper in your pockets for this one but what you can expect to see is an absolutely immaculately prepared vehicle with up to 90% defect removal with this one depending on the cars current condition

The stage 2 paint correction is best suited for older vehicles where there are many swirl marks/holograms and light - medium scratches

Sometimes where the risk of burning through the clear coat in areas with major defects or thin clear coat is too great, a 90% correction rate is not possible. However, using the correct techniques and paint thickness gauge, deep scratches and marks can be visibly reduced without compromising the paintwork.

Multiple machine polishera are used within this detail including the Rupes Bigfoot LHR15, Rupes Mini Duetto 75E and the Rupes iBrid.

Process...

Pre-detail Inspection is carried out taking note of any damage found on the car prior to any work. Paintwork is inspected for defects and thickness measured using a paint depth gauge to highlight any repainted or areas of high risk before paint correction is carried out. These will be measured and recorded before and after and sent to you within a followup up vehicle report report.

Exterior

Alloys and tires cleaned with a pH neutral wheel cleaner/ degreaser
Wheel arches, calipers, door/boot shuts and wheels brush cleaned with citrus degreaser
Vehicle is pre rinsed with a ‘Snow Foam’, that safely loosens surface dirt
Intricate details on the car are agitated with soft brushes and all purpose cleaner
Any chrome will be treated with Acid Rain and Mineral/limescale remover
Vehicle washed using a microfibre wash mitt and 2 buckets with pH-neutral shampoo
Bonded iron contaminants removed from paint using a dedicated fallout remover.
Bonded tar contaminants removed using tar remover.
Second Pre-wash to ensure all products used so far are fully removed
Clay bar is then used as a final decontamination step to remove contamination that are lodged into the paintwork.
Full set of paint thickness readings taken
Multi stage correction & refinement via machine polishing is undertaken
Paint cleansed and wiped down in preparation for protection, allowing total bonding with the paintwork.
Windows and mirrors are cleaned and protected.
High quality carnauba Wax sealant applied, ultra hydrophobic with an impressive durability of 6-8 months. or Ceramic coating top up as an add on
Final wipe down using a gloss-enhancing detailing spray.

Trims:

All plastic trim cleaned/ restored and protected
Exhausts cleaned/restored and protected

Wheels:

Wheels washed front and back using an pH neutral wheel cleaner/degreaser and soft brushes, safe for any finish.
Bonded tar contaminants removed
Bonded iron contaminants removed
Machine polished using mini detailer
Wheels are maintained with a high quality sealant
Tyre dressing applied giving a high gloss finish
